  • WhatsApp QR: Scan a QR code from your mobile WhatsApp app and use WhatsApp within Vtiger simultaneously. Ideal for personal accounts and subject to WhatsApp’s usage policies.
  • WhatsApp Business: Use a virtual number or your existing number (note: you won’t be able to use it on your phone simultaneously). This option follows WhatsApp Business usage policies.

Yes, if you want to use the WhatsApp Business integration. You’ll also need a Twilio account with access to the WhatsApp Business API.

Do I need to purchase a new number to use WhatsApp Business?

Not necessarily. You can use your existing number if it's not actively linked to a mobile app. Alternatively, you can acquire a virtual number to avoid using your personal line.

 

Are there fees for sent or received messages?

Can I still use WhatsApp on my phone if I use Spl Chats?

Only if you’re using WhatsApp QR. In the case of WhatsApp Business, the number is managed exclusively via the CRM and cannot be used on your mobile device simultaneously.

 

Is there a long-term contract required?

No. You can subscribe on a month-to-month basis with no long-term commitment. Cancel anytime.

 

Can I send messages through other platforms?

Yes, you can also send and receive messages from Facebook Messenger and SMS. These services are billed separately but work within the same Spl Chats module.

 

What are the server requirements to run Spl Chats?

You’ll need Vtiger version 7.3 or higher, and your server must support ioncube and openswoole extensions. If not, we can install them for you at no extra cost.
